How We Help
Every family’s situation is different. Some need to find a community soon; others want to plan ahead or stay at home longer. We help with both — and we’ll always tell you plainly which services are free and which are not.
Assisted Living Placement
A personal needs assessment, a curated shortlist of licensed communities that fit your needs and budget, scheduled tours with us at your side, and support through move-in day.
Memory Care Placement
The same careful process, focused on communities equipped for Alzheimer’s and dementia care — secure environments, specially trained staff, and the right questions asked.
Understanding Payment Options
Private pay, long-term care insurance, VA Aid & Attendance, and Nevada Medicaid — explained in plain language so you can see the full picture before deciding anything.
Not ready for a move? Planning ahead or staying at home?
For families earlier in the journey, we offer hands-on consulting services paid directly by you — because no community pays us for this work, and we believe you should know exactly why.
- In-Home Care Planning PackagesA home safety and needs walkthrough, a curated list of local home care agencies and equipment options, and a written plan — available as a half-day or full-day engagement.
- Ongoing Care AdvocacyMonthly check-ins, coordination with care providers, and a standing point of contact for your family — especially valuable for out-of-state adult children.
- Family Conversation FacilitationA guided session to help siblings and parents talk through a care decision together, with an experienced neutral party in the room.
- Second-Opinion Facility ReviewAlready found a community on your own? We’ll walk it with expert eyes and give you an objective local read before you sign.
- Long-Distance Caregiver LiaisonPeriodic in-person check-ins on your parent, with a written report back to family members living out of the area.
Rates provided on request during your free first conversation — no obligation, and we’ll always tell you if the free placement path fits your situation better.
How It Works
You talk, we listen
A free conversation about your family’s needs, budget, timeline, and worries. No forms, no pressure — just a real person who knows this world.
We map the paths
Staying home with support, assisted living, memory care — we lay out what each would look like for your family, with honest local costs.
We walk it with you
If touring communities is the next step, we schedule the visits, come with you, and help you ask the questions that reveal the real story.
You decide, on your timeline
The choice is always yours. Whether that’s this week or next year, we’re here when you need us.
How is this paid for?
Fair question — and you deserve a plain answer. We have three ways of being paid, and we will always tell you which one applies before any work begins:
We’re local. We’ve walked these communities ourselves. And our reputation in this town is worth more than any single fee.
About Wendy
Wendy McClintock — Founder & Senior Living Advisor
I started Nevada Senior Placement because I’ve sat where you’re sitting. When a parent of mine was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, I learned firsthand how overwhelming it is to make big decisions for someone you love while the ground keeps shifting under you — and how hard it is to find someone who truly knows the local options and has no agenda but yours.
I’m not new to caregiving from a distance, either. I raised my own family here in Northern Nevada while my parents lived abroad, which meant building a local network of support from scratch — the doctors, the resources, the people you can actually count on. That experience shapes how I work today: I believe no family should have to navigate this alone, and that the right guidance is local, honest, and deeply personal.
I’m also a longtime Nevada business owner. For many years I co-owned Future Computer Technologies, a woman-owned local business, and I’ve spent more than two decades advising organizations on strategy and helping people navigate complex decisions with clarity. That background means I know how to cut through confusion, ask the sharp questions on a facility tour, and help you weigh real trade-offs. My degree is in psychology, and I’m a certified NLP coach — training I draw on to help families have the hard conversations with patience, so everyone feels heard.
But mostly, I listen first. Whether the right path is a senior living community or more support at home, my job is to help you see your options clearly and choose with confidence — on your timeline, never mine.

For Professionals
Discharge planners, elder law attorneys, care coordinators, and financial advisors: we’re built to be the local partner you can hand a family to with confidence — including the families who aren’t placement-ready yet.
- Placement-ready clients: warm handoff, fast response, tours accompanied, and updates back to you at whatever level of detail you want.
- Not-yet-ready clients: our fee-based consulting (in-home care planning, family facilitation, second-opinion reviews) serves families who are still at home, still deciding, or still disagreeing — so you have somewhere to send them besides “call me when it’s time.”
- Local intel: we tour Reno–Sparks communities continually and verify licensing through HCQC — ask us anything about the current landscape.
About the founder. Wendy McClintock brings an unusual depth of professional experience to senior placement. After a 20+ year career as an enterprise strategy and client-success executive advising Fortune 500 leadership across retail and enterprise organizations, she made a deliberate move — applying that discipline to a space long underserved by the thoughtful, personalized service she spent her career designing for the world’s largest brands. She is Harvard-certified in agentic AI workflow and process development, holds a BSc (Honors) in Psychology, is a certified NLP coach, and is a longtime Nevada business owner. That combination — enterprise-level rigor, a psychology foundation, and genuine local roots — means referral partners can hand a family to someone who will manage the process with professionalism, clear communication, and follow-through. Longer term, she is building toward AI-enabled tools that support families, advisors, and providers across the senior care space — but her focus today is one family at a time.
